Recently I pulled my right calf muscle going down the stairs.
At first it was just a minor injury but then it got worse and I headed to the doctor.
It set me back!
First my mind was racing about how I couldn’t lift weights, I couldn’t run, it got me down and I couldn’t exercise for awhile, etc.
But I quickly changed my mindset and pivoted out of the negative perspective and turned it into a positive view.
But, I was still wondering… What did I do to cause this? Why now? What is going on?
The previous weeks I have just been on the go and have been slacking on my stretching. Bad news.
I was going full speed and wasn’t taking care of myself.
The biggest challenge for me is that I realized I wasn’t going to be able to work on some of my goals because of my calf but then I realized I have a lot of other goals I can work on.
Everything is going to be okay.
My leg hurts but I know I am strong and I will recover. It’s important to be open and to pivot and change and be flexible when unexpected things come up.
So, I am excited about a new opportunity to keep making these videos and to get creative on which workouts I can do and record for you guys so you can keep going…
