Though there are plenty of people out there who are skinny AND healthy, I would like to point out that the two are very different.
We live in a time where food is abundant and convenient, so much so, that the majority of our population is either overweight or obese.
The Truth You’re Hungry For
The truth is… if more of us believed we could be “fit” then we could be. I’d say most of us don’t believe we can be “fit” or “healthy” because we’re stuck on believing “skinny” is healthy. And skinny is associated with NOT EATING and who the “F” wants to starve when there’s a million delicious, affordable, convenient foods to eat? Ummm. Nobody!
Healthy is the New Skinny!
If you want to lose weight, get healthy. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO STARVE YOURSELF to slim down.
In fact, if you’re used to eating pounds of French fries, burgers, hot dogs, pizza, cookies, cakes, and soda every day, you could eat pounds of whole foods like rice, beans, fruits, vegetables, chocolate, nuts, fresh lean meat, and water and be WAY more satiated with a fraction of the calories.
Whole Foods Heal
I don’t mean the grocery store (which my cousin calls “whole wallet” for obvious reasons). This switch to eating WHOLE foods from highly processed bread, cheese, and meat will not only cause you to lose weight (quickly), but also give you natural energy, natural focus, and micro nutrients that will heal disease for which you currently take prescription medications (allegedly).
Eat with Purpose
Like I said earlier, there are “skinny” ass people out there who are healthy. Those skinny AND healthy people have a balanced, healthy diet, and get regular exercise. They eat because they need energy and they need energy because they like to eat. Also, if they’re getting regular exercise they likely appear to be “fit” because they will show muscle tone.
Skinny Does NOT Equal Healthy
On the flip side, there are skinny people who are UNhealthy. These skinny people are either not eating or not absorbing calories that would otherwise make them gain weight. They might even replace meals with smoking instead.
Smoking is Bad
Note: Smoking is the least healthy thing you can do for yourself in addition to eating highly processed sweets, bread, cheese, and meat which are also linked to different forms of cancer. I used to smoke. For 15 years! I quit. You can too.
Eat As Much As You Want
So, if you’re currently feeling stuck in a state of obesity because you’re afraid you’ll have to give up food… FORGET IT. You can stuff yourself to the gills with whole foods and still get healthier.
Enjoy What You Eat
OR… If you’re afraid you’ll have to give up “good tasting” food, when you start eating healthy foods (whole foods like fruits and veggies and rice and beans) you’ll enjoy and crave them more. Juice Plus has done study after study on this concept with their Children’s Health Study.
The Mindset Shift
Athletes are some of the healthiest human beings on the planet and they are not “skinny.” In fact, they characteristically have lots of muscle and big, strong bones. They also eat a boat load of WHOLE FOODS because of the health benefits.
Shift from thinking 🤔
skinny = good
healthy = happy 😊 and longevity ☀️
You can get “healthy” by eating lots of delicious, natural foods without starving or being “skinny” just as conveniently and affordably as your existing diet.
